Last night we had a birthday party for Dave with a bunch of friends from our ward. In case you didn't know, this was the big "40" birthday for him. Our friends, the Weymouths, hosted the party at their house, and we had 11 couples that came. Dave's Mom did the balloons for us, and also babysit our kids during the party. (Thanks!) We played a bunch of 80's music in honor of Dave growing up in the 80's. We had lots of yummy food and played some fun games.

The kids loved this card that Dave got. It says, "A long, long, long time ago . . .
You were born." When you open it up, it plays Star Wars music. They thought it was so cool! Everyone was really nice - he got some cards, chocolate, gift cards, pumpkin bread. We had a great time!

SO AWESOME! Lori, you are so cute. I will definitely have to do this for my loved one in a few more years!
That card is so cool! How funny. What a great party!
Happy Birthday Dave, looks like a super fun party. Lori, you are lucky to have a mother-in-law close by to help, and such great friends to add to the fun.
Sounds like the 40th birthday celebration went on for nearly a week!! How fun....one doesn't turn 40 every day and it seems like your family made it a very special time for a very special guy. We love you, Dave, and can't wait to see you and it won't be long. Have a wonderful year. You sure have a great family and a beautiful wife. Love, Mom and Dad Jones in Germany
Happy Birthday Dave! Don't worry you are only half way to 80! We love you.
