Back to Life, Back to Reality

Dave started his new job with Northrop yesterday. He's excited about it, and has been meeting new coworkers and getting trained. It's been 4 months that he's been home. He spent a good part of October doing some training and classes with a career management company, which was part of his severance package. We both feel very blessed that he was able to find a job in a relatively short amount of time. His old job was only about 7 minutes from our house - we knew we were spoiled. He has to drive farther now, about 30 minutes each way. One perk of his new job is they have a schedule where every other Friday you get off. (Their daily schedule is a little longer.) Sounds good to me. They also have a 2 week shutdown time over Christmas, like his old job. Love that!
Of course, I was spoiled during the time that he was home. It was easier to run errands, get kids off to school, help with homework, etc. with Dave around. Thanks, honey!
Thanks to everyone who kept us in your thoughts and prayers. Good job Dave, for working so hard to find a new job!

I am so happy he found a job so quickly and also that you had a few months of down time!

Congrats to Dave on the new job. And condolences to you that you are on your own again. Having an extra set of adult hands around makes such a difference.

Now maybe we will have to do that swap. I let my other one die out. We don't have to do anything super formal, just a day here and there as needed.

Your scrapbook pages are looking so awesome! You really have a talent!
